About Peebles Old Parish Church
Peebles Old Parish Church is a Church of Scotland congregation in Peebles, in the Scottish Borders. Standing where the town’s High Street ends, it remains an active place of worship and is protected as a Category B listed building. The congregation also belongs to Peebles Churches Together.
Built from 1885 to 1887, the church cost £9,500 and was dedicated on 29 March 1887. London architect William Young designed it in the Gothic style. The building retains elements of its predecessor, a parish church erected on the same site in 1784.
