St Michael is an active Church in Wales parish church at The Square, Kerry, near Newtown in Powys. Set within the village, it is protected as a Grade I listed building. Sunday worship takes place at 11.00 am.
The site may have religious origins dating from the seventh or eighth century. A stone church was rebuilt and dedicated in 1176, with part of its northern arcade remaining from that period. Its rounded arches rest on cylindrical columns, while the chancel arcade dates from the fourteenth century. The nave and aisle retain fifteenth-century roofs. A stone tower, probably built in the thirteenth century, carries a distinctive timber belfry constructed from wood felled in 1525–26. Much of the present structure was reconstructed in 1882–83 to designs by George Edmund Street, with the work funded by James Walton of Dolforgan Hall.
