About St Leonard's Parish Church
St Leonard's Parish Church is a former parish church in Perth, within the Perth and Kinross council area of Scotland. The church stands on King Street, where Charterhouse Lane ends. Although it no longer serves as a parish church, the building is recognised for its architectural interest and is protected as a Category B listed structure.
Completed in 1836, the church was designed by William Macdonald Mackenzie, an architect from the local area. In 1891, James Smart carried out further work on the building. His additions included an apse at its western end. This part of the church contains colourful stained glass in the High Victorian style, providing one of the building’s principal decorative features.
