About St Andrew's Church
St Andrew's Church is a former place of worship at 19 Atholl Street in Perth, Perth and Kinross. It stands a block to the east of St Ninian's Cathedral and is also known by the combined dedication of St Andrew and St Stephen. The church is no longer in ecclesiastical use and is protected as a Category C listed building.
Completed in 1885, the church was designed by Andrew Heiton together with his nephew, Andrew Granger Heiton. Construction was carried out by Robert Brand and Sons. The building therefore belongs to the later Victorian period and reflects the work of a locally based architectural partnership, although no further details about its materials, style, fittings or subsequent alterations are recorded in the supplied history.
