About Scott Street Methodist Church
Scott Street Methodist Church is a Methodist place of worship in central Perth, within the Perth and Kinross council area of Scotland. The church is recognised for its architectural interest and is protected as a Category C listed building.
Completed in 1880, the church was designed by Alexander Petrie. It is a carefully detailed example of ecclesiastical architecture from the later nineteenth century. Its most notable external feature is the broached spire, which rises prominently above the elevation facing the street and gives the building a distinctive presence within its city-centre setting.
