About Perth Middle Church
Perth Middle Church is a former place of worship in Perth, within the Perth and Kinross council area of Scotland. The church occupies a site on Tay Street, where the street meets George Inn Lane. Perth’s Municipal Buildings adjoin it on the southern side. No longer serving in its original role, the building is protected through its designation as Category B listed.
Completed in 1887, the church was designed by the architect Hippolyte Blanc. Its late nineteenth-century date and association with Blanc form the principal recorded details of its architectural history. The position beside the Municipal Buildings places the former church within a group of significant civic and historic structures in this part of Perth.
