About Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity is a Church of England parish church in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. It remains an active place of worship and is protected at Grade II for its architectural and historical significance.
The church was constructed between 1844 and 1846 to designs by the Sheffield architects Weightman and Hadfield. Built in the Early English style, it originally cost £2,500. A pipe organ made by Gray and Davison was installed in 1867, then restored by Bishop in 1892 and by Norman and Beard in 1913. The instrument was still documented in 1975 but has since been removed.
