About Queen's Road Methodist Church

Queen’s Road Methodist Church was built in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, in 1900. It is a former Methodist place of worship rather than an active church. In 2014 its congregation united with those of Wollaton Road Methodist Church and Chilwell Road Methodist Church. The Queen’s Road premises were offered for sale in 2018.

Its roots lay in a mission established in 1884 through the Wesleyan chapel in Chapel Street. John Wills designed the building, while William Edwards, a Derby contractor, carried out the construction. It opened on 24 May 1900, providing accommodation for 425 worshippers, and was built at a cost of about £1,900. Wills also designed a closely similar chapel at Borrowash during the same year.
