About St Peter's Church, East Drayton
St Peter’s Church, East Drayton, is a Church of England parish church in the Nottinghamshire village of East Drayton. Dating from the late twelfth century, it is protected as a Grade I listed building. Two headstones within the churchyard also have heritage recognition and are listed at Grade II.
The church underwent restoration by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners in 1857. Further work to the nave and aisles followed in 1873, while the roof was restored in 1982. Its organ was made by J. Halmshaw in 1860 and originally stood in St Leonard’s Church at Ragnall. Anthony Herrod transferred and installed the instrument at East Drayton in 1995.
