About Church of All Saints
The Church of All Saints is a Church of England parish church in Osgodby, North Yorkshire. It serves the parish of Barlby and has been protected as a Grade II listed building since 1986.
A chapel existed in Barlby by 1481 but had become ruinous by the end of the 18th century and was replaced in 1779–1780. The present brick church was substantially rebuilt and enlarged in 1895, when the parish became independent. This work introduced a chancel, porch and replacement vestry, reconstructed the interior and removed an earlier western gallery. The building has a nave of three bays and a two-bay chancel beneath roofs covered with pantiles and stone slates. Its round-headed windows include an eastern window containing stained glass from the 19th century. An octagonal timber bellcote remains from the earlier structure, while the chancel has a separate brick bell turret.
