King's Lynn Minster stands at Saturday Market Place in King's Lynn, Norfolk. It serves as a Church of England parish church and has Grade I listed status. Dedicated to St Margaret of Antioch, it was given the honorary designation of minster in 2011.
Herbert de Losinga, then Bishop of Norwich, founded the church in 1095 for a Benedictine religious house. Its architecture reflects several periods: Norman masonry remains at the foot of the slender south-west tower, the chancel and upper windows belong to the 1200s, and the larger north-west tower was built during the 1400s. The fall of the central lantern and the south-west spire in 1741 badly damaged the nave. Matthew Brettingham oversaw its reconstruction in 1745 and 1746 using an early Gothic Revival approach. Features include medieval misericords, a 1657 Sanctus bell, five bells cast in 1766 and a John Snetzler organ dating to 1754.
