St Bridget’s Church, West Kirby stands in Wirral, Merseyside, and remains a Church of England parish church within Chester Diocese. Its parish is affiliated with Inclusive Church, while worship reflects a moderate Catholic tradition. The building is protected with a Grade II designation, and its wider benefice also covers the Caldy church dedicated to the Resurrection and All Saints.
Christian worship may have taken place here before the Norman period. A masonry church appeared in about 1150–60, while the surviving chancel dates to roughly 1320 and the western tower to 1493. Sandstone walls and slate-covered roofs enclose a nave with two aisles, a chapel, vestry and chancel. Kelly and Edwards undertook extensive renewal during 1869–70. Among the interior features are numerous windows designed by Kempe, a Henry Willis organ from 1893 and a curved, early eleventh-century carved stone. Eight bells hang in the tower, including four made in 1719.
