About Frontline Church
Frontline Church is an independent Christian congregation based in Wavertree, Liverpool, and is affiliated with the Evangelical Alliance. Around 700 to 900 people attend, supported by approximately 30 staff working across church life, youth and student activities, pastoral care and administration. Its network also includes Crowd Church, which developed from a Liverpool city centre service established in 2012 and became an online church in 2020.
The church began in 1991 when pastors Nic Harding and Dave Connolly combined their congregations. With attendance reaching about 300, it acquired a former military barracks in Wavertree in 1996, extensively renovating the property as the Frontline Centre. Kids Klub was started by Dave Sharples in 1993 to engage children from inner-city communities; he received an MBE in 2012 for 19 years of work with young people in Liverpool. A partner charity, Imagine If Trust, runs projects including a food bank, nursery, supported housing and relationship education.
