About St Paul's Church
St Paul’s Church is a Church of England church in Fulney, Spalding, Lincolnshire, at 65 Holbeach Road. It is protected at Grade I, recognising its exceptional architectural and historic significance. The associated schoolroom forms part of the same designation, while the nearby vicarage has Grade II* status.
The architect George Gilbert Scott prepared the designs for the church, schoolroom and vicarage in 1877–78. Construction of the church was completed in 1880, after Scott’s death. Although the directory records its foundation date as 1877, the surviving building therefore belongs to the closing years of the decade. The church and its related buildings together represent a closely planned late nineteenth-century ecclesiastical group.
