St Mary's Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish in Inverness, Highland, belonging to the Aberdeen diocese. Open for regular worship, it celebrates Mass every day and hosts the Catholic chaplaincy serving Polish speakers in Inverness. The church is protected as a Category A listed building.
Opened on 2 April 1837, it succeeded an earlier Catholic place of worship in Margaret Street. The Inverness mission had become independent of Eskdale a decade before the opening. In 1894 the sanctuary underwent substantial alterations, increasing capacity by 250. Carruthers, an Inverness firm, made an altar conceived by architect Peter Paul Pugin, while representations of Christ’s journey to Calvary were added. Liturgical changes prompted another sanctuary reordering in 2014, including replacement tiles and an altar. Its interior is distinguished by accomplished stained glass and fine altar work.
