Herstmonceux Free Church, in the East Sussex village of Herstmonceux, is an active Congregational place of worship with approximately 40 members. It belongs to the Congregational Federation. The chapel has Grade II listed status in recognition of its architectural or historic significance.
The present building stands on Chapel Row, where it was erected in 1811. Dating from the early nineteenth century, it continues to serve the congregation more than two centuries after its construction. Its protected status reflects the recognised importance of the building, while its continuing membership shows that it remains in use as a church today.
