It remains a place of worship and has held Category B listed status since 1984, recognising its architectural and historic interest. The church also hosts an annual service at which pets are blessed.
The church was completed in 1873 to a design by Alexander Ross, an architect based in Inverness. Its construction cost approximately £2,600.
