About All Saints Church, Hampreston

All Saints Church, Hampreston is a Church of England parish church in Ferndown Town, Dorset. It continues in its parish role and is protected as a Grade II* listed building, a designation granted in 1955.

A reused Norman doorway head provides evidence of a 12th-century building. The chancel and tower date from the 14th century, while the east window was made in the early 15th century. Two further 14th-century windows remain in the chancel’s north wall. During restoration work in 1896, a north aisle was added, and both the north porch and chancel arch were rebuilt. Inside are a font dating from the 12th or 13th century and oak choir benches from the 16th century. The six bells were assembled over several centuries, with the final treble added in 1928. They were overhauled and partly retuned in 2003, and the cracked fifth bell was repaired by welding in 2013.
