St Saeran is a Church in Wales church in Denbigh, Denbighshire. Recognised as a Grade I listed building since 1966, it is notable for its generous interior and evidence of its former regional importance, including historic connections with the bishops of Bangor.
Founded during the sixth century, possibly on an earlier Celtic religious site, the church once served communities across the southern Vale of Clwyd. Its two parallel naves are covered by late medieval hammerbeam roofs typical of local churches, while the fluted wooden columns dividing them were introduced during restoration in 1768. A substantial fifteenth-century painting of Saint Christopher, uncovered beneath plaster in 1967, depicts the saint carrying the Christ Child through water filled with fish. Other features include a worn priestly effigy and a carved stone showing a bishop holding a crozier above a restrained bear, with the Crucifixion represented on its reverse. Major conservation work took place from 2013 to 2015.
