About Church of St Julitta, Lanteglos

The Church of St Julitta is an active Church of England parish church in Lanteglos, near Delabole in Cornwall. It belongs to the Diocese of Truro and shares a benefice with the churches at Advent and Camelford. Recognised for its exceptional historic interest, it is protected as a Grade I listed building.

Founded in the 12th century, around 1150, the church gained its tower during the 1300s. A south aisle of six bays, and perhaps the porch beside it, followed in the 15th century. The roof was renewed in 1860, before substantial restoration began under James Piers St Aubyn in 1865, with further work in 1873. The tower houses six bells, including four cast in 1783 and two dating from 1883. The churchyard contains four medieval crosses with wheel-shaped heads and a scheduled 10th-century inscribed stone, moved from Castle Goff Farm in 1900.
