About St Garmon's Church
In the Conwy village of Capel Garmon, St Garmon's Church formerly served the local Anglican parish. It is now redundant and closed. Records from 2006 note that the building was then used for builders’ storage.
The church took its present form during extensive work in 1862–63, completed by Lancaster architect Edward Graham Paley at a cost of £880. The project included reconstructing the southern wall, replacing the windows, and adding both a porch and a vestry on the north side. Seating capacity rose slightly, from 145 to 150. Completed in 1863, the building has a simple single-space interior. Parts of the exterior are rendered, while the windows are distinguished by plate tracery.
